"Guelph, Ont., March 26, 2020Guelph Mayor Cam Guthrie has declared a state of emergency for the city of Guelph in response to COVID-19. The Mayor made this decision after Dr. Nicola Mercer, the Medical Officer of Health, declared an outbreak in a ward at Guelph General Hospital earlier today. The state of emergency is effective immediately and will remain in effect until further notice.
The declaration is part of the Citys ongoing efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 and will ensure the City can continue to act and respond quickly to the COVID-19 pandemic and any other events that arise in the weeks ahead.".

Real Estate Industry Response
Real Estate and related services have been deemed "essential" in order to allow current deals in a Firm or conditional state to be able to continue to close. This has not been deemed essential to allow business as usual continue.
How we're responding
Effective immediately all members of The Zahnd Team Real Estate Advisors will be shut down. We will be shut down until at least April 8th, 2020 and will re-evaluate the COVID 19 situation.
We see other realtors still allowing showings but we want to lead the way in taking the recommendations to stay home and shut down all showings etc. We have been deemed an "essential service", but only to help CLOSE real estate deals, not to continue to show properties and sell them.
As such, we have decided to DELAY all property showings and listings from hitting the Market until April 8th. At that time, we will re-evaluate the COVID 19 situation and hope all other realtors will follow this example and pause all activity as strongly recommended by OREA.
We will, however, have buyer and seller consultations virtually to get you ready for when the time is right. And we're always here to help answer any questions you may have.
