In Canada we have about $1.6 Trillion in residential mortgage debt and a recent survey found that most Canadians dont know the parts of their mortgage! Less than 49% knew the difference between mortgage term and contract term and less than 30% knew what amortization is. (Macleans Article Jan 16, 2020)
